Martijn Reuser set his sights on the Premiership after his last-minute winner against Fulham.

Ipswich Town's latest recruit, brought in on loan from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on transfer deadline day, wants to showcase his talents in the big time.

Reuser, schooled at Ajax's soccer academy, made an immediate impact.

He scored the late winner against Paul Bracewell's side to keep Town in second place in the First Division and on course for promotion.

Reuser, 25, said: "I want to play my football in the Premiership and that is why I am here. I want to play in the very best league. If Ipswich get into the Premiership then I want to stay with the club.

"At the moment I am here to help them get promotion and then we can sit down and talk some more in the summer."

Reuser, who gained his first Dutch cap against Ghana last year, has been on loan at Ajax this season.

He scored his only other goal in the Champions League at the beginning of the current campaign but has rarely figured in their side.

Reuser added: "The coach didn't put me in the team at Ajax and it was a very frustrating time for me. I wanted to play in the first team but if I wasn't going to play then I knew I would have to go somewhere else.

"The opportunity came up for me to play for Ipswich and already I think it is a great club. I was very nervous before I came on but it was like a dream to score the winner so late.

"I had no idea what to expect and the pace of the game was very quick but I think I adapted to the conditions. Football here is played at a higher tempo than on the continent but I will have no problems."
