Booking has begun for the Chelmsford Cathedral Festival 2000.
The festival will run from May 10 to 20, and brochures are available from the Festival Office on 01245 359890.
Artists this year include Dame Gillian Weir, the international organ recitalist, Digby Fairweather's Half Dozen at the Shire Hall, London Brass, the English Chamber Orchestra, and the King's Consort.
A full programme of events in the town will involve hundreds of schoolchildren and an army of 200 volunteers to help stage events.
Collections at Chelmsford Cathedral on March 19, in aid of relief work in Mozambique, totalled £736 from the regular congregation.
Converted for the new archive on 19 November 2001. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
