Braintree police officer, PC Anthony Roll, has been commended for rescuing a man locked in a garage filled with exhaust fumes.
PC Roll bent the garage door to get in and discovered the man in a car with the engine running.
He dragged the unconscious man from the car. He was then taken to hospital where he subsequently recovered.
PC Roll is due to receive his Certificate of Commendation tomorrow from Essex Police Chief Constable David Stevens.
