Following his triple successes in cross-country running for 1999, namely Essex League U17 Champion, Essex County Champion and Essex Schools U17 Champion, Robert Smith, from Billericay, has moved on at 17 years of age to the senior boys age group.
His success has continued ths year with successes in gaining first place in the Essex Schools senior boys and last weekend gained second place in the English Schools Athletic Association Cross-Country Championships for senior boys at Parliament Hill Fields, Hampstead, London.
