A range of services tailored to women's needs has been launched by the Priory Hospital in Springfield, Chelmsford.
The services include a women's group where the mental health needs of women are shared in a supportive environment.
The hospital has also opened an all-female ward aimed at proving a secure, confidential and sensitive setting for those suffering from depression, stress, relationship problems, sexual abuse and low self esteem.
There is also a dedicated programme for those suffering from post-natal depression and where appropriate mothers can be accommodated with their babies.
