Hungry web-surfers can now plaice their fish and chips orders online at a Colchester chippie.
Hicks Fish and Chip Shop in the High Street has launched its own website, complete with e-mail ordering facility.
Linking silicon chips with their potato namesakes is proving to be a success.
Senga Campbell, who owns the business with husband Matt, said since being set up two months ago, the electronic trade has been increasing.
"We are expecting it to take off in a big way."
It was the idea of local businessman Sam Sherwin, who set the site up, and as far as Mrs Campbell knows, it's the first fish and chip shop in Colchester to offer online ordering.
The shop delivers within a three-mile radius within about thirty minutes, or customers who can't wait for their food can pop in ten minutes after ordering and pick it up.
