Sunday saw the Dunmow Demon Skater Hockey Club travelling to Harlow Sports and Leisure Centre for a series of matches.

The first two matches saw current Youth League leaders Demon Aliens taking on the Demon Gremlins.

With the Gremlins short of players due to sickness and injury, it was always going to be a difficult match for them, and the Aliens powered to a 25-1 victory.

Joint top scorer and captain Lee Hounslow and Alec Fisher netted eight goals apiece, Stuart Mitchell and Dan Fitzgerald scored four apiece and Edward Barfield Smith chipped in with one.

The Gremlins consolation goal was netted by James Beared.

The seniors played next with the Demon Force earning a deserved victory over the Decorum Cougars.

Matt Jones (3) top scored, while Chris Giunta, Ross Bishop and Toby Jones also netted.

Mac Fisher and Sam Elijah were excellent in goal, and the final score was 7-3 to the Demon Force.

The Demon Gremlins then played the Colchester Cougars, and despite being short of players the Gremlins fought hard but were finally overpowered in the last quarter, going down 9-5.

Current Junior League leaders the Demon Predators showed why they are the team to beat this season after their convincing 17-4 win over the Demon Sirens.

Demon Aliens then played their second match of the day and carried on in the same fashion as in their first match by crushing the Cambridge Twisters 25-1.

Lee Hounslow was in scintillating form with 11 goals and among the other goalscorers were Stuart Mitchell, Matt Anker, Alec Fisher, Dan Fitzgerald, Edward Barfield-Smith, Brendon Roberts and Ricky Santos.
