Falcon Bowling Club entertained the Essex Farmers B.A. in a five rink match which Falcon won by 121 shots to 80.

Last Saturday Falcon Indoor held a special Gala Day to celebrate the Millennium and 80 Ladies and Gents played all day for the Sally and Albert Crabb Memorial Trophy, which had been donated by their family in their memory.

Albert was Indoor Captain for several years and President of the Club a number of times.

The winners were, Terry Everett, Shirley Beavin, Colin Bridge and Val Bridge. Second were Ian Shipton, Val Shipton, Alf Dunbar and June Hollywood and Gordon Dawes, Audrey Dawes, Den Saunders and Doreen Saunders took third place.

The 'Falcon Four' of J. Storry, Mike Brickel, Terry Little and Fred Dowding competed in the Final Stages of the National Fours at Melton Mowbray but were unsuccessful against a Mote Park Four.

On Sunday at Chigwell, Falcon BC's David Gildersleeve won his Final match, 21-7, to win the County Singles Title for the fifth time.

On Saturday the Falcon over 60's Double Rink compete in the semi final of the National Competition at Melton Mowbray against the current holders Leicester.

The final is scheduled for the following day prior to the Liberty Cup final where Essex, with several Falcon players in the team, meet Lancashire.
