A pensioner has died after falling from his bike and into bushes.
Police said the 65-year-old man, who may have died from a heart attack, was cycling along a footpath in Valley Road, Clacton, at 3.15pm on Wednesday.
A spokesman said: "He fell into some bushes. The man was taken to Colchester General Hospital where, shortly after arrival, he died. There is a high possibility the man died of a heart attack but this is to be established with a post-mortem examination."
Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
