Colchester's crack indoor bowls duo Brenda Brown and Elizabeth Tunn have added another national title to their impressive collection.
Brenda and Liz have scooped the British Women's Indoor Pairs Championship crown for the first time to complete the second leg of a notable national double.
The Colchester Indoor Bowls Club duo had already won the English Women's Indoor Bowls Association Pairs crown at Northampton on March 1.
Liz and Brenda this week added the British title at the Swansea Leisure Centre where they saw off hosts Wales in a very close contest before beating Scotland in the semis and Ireland, comfortably, in the final.
Their previous best in the competition was a place in the semi-finals in 1989.
The dynamic duo will be taking a break from competitive action today to support their Colchester club-mate Derek Wheeler, who is competing in the English National finals at Melton Mowbray.
It is the first time a Colchester club member has made it to the men's finals.
