EastEnders fans will be flocking to the Dixon Studio in the Palace Theatre Centre when the next production opens.
Boxed is a new play written by, among others, Mark Homer, who is best known as the local news reporter in the BBC soap.
He will be appearing alongside one of his co-writers Carolina Giametta in this story which explores the aftermath of a failed relationship.
The play is one of those slice of life dramas, which take an intimate look at everyday lives and the end of a personal but earth-shattering dream.
The play starts on April 17 for a two-week run in the 100-seater auditorium and contains strong language.
Tickets are available from the box office at the Palace Theatre, London Road, Westcliff, or by calling 01702 342564.
