Young striker Sam Myall turned in an exhibition of finishing Alan Shearer would be proud of as his school won a major local final.
St Thomas More School for Boys beat Eastwood 7-1 in the Southend and District schools under-14 cup final - and 13-year-old Sam scored every goal.
Amazingly, the Leigh-on-Sea youngster reached his tally from only eight chances.
Proud team manager Tim Peet said: "It was a remarkable display of finishing for someone of that age. It was clinical.
"But it was a great team effort and he was set up by some precise and incisive passing from his team-mates. It was our best performance of the season."
All Sam's goals were well-taken but the first two were particularly special. For the first he dragged his shot past the keeper from the edge of the box, while the second was a volley in the top corner from a pass by team-mate Carl Beisser.
Sam is a natural goalscorer who has netted 40 goals for his Sunday side, Leigh Town youth. This is more than half the team's 76 total strikes.
