Witham are making a good end of the season run and they have now won two successive lague matches and are unbeaten for five games.
Saturday's match was scrappy with not much goalmouth action with defences on top.
The only goal of the game came in the 16th minute when Glen Driver cleverly flicked the ball over Lee Thompson after a good build-up involving Mike Dignam and Ben Woolnough.
At the other end Town goalkeeper Chris Kriehn was rarely troubled with the nearest the Blues got to scoring was when Jason Prins headed over following a corner.
Woolnough then headed a long cross from Alan Vincent over the bar when he should have done better but apart from that there were hardly any chances.
Two chances fell Witham's way soon after the break but Thompson saved well from Driver and soon afterwards Driver shot just wide.
Well into injury time Witham substitute Nicky Cowley lobbed the ball over Thompson who was off his line but as the ball bounced goalwards he raced back to prevent it going over.
Witham Town: Kriehn, Dignam, Golby, Shirley, English, Vincent, Woolnough (Dean 80 minutes), Ashton, Driver, Gold, Bassett (Cowley 76 minutes). Unused substitute Kinsella.
On Saturday Witham travel to play Edgware Town in a Ryman League match.
