Forty riders competed at Sunday's promotional meeting, organised by the Braintree BMX Club, in 28 exciting races.
There were 13 newcomers to the sport split into two groups plus for the first time, an event for over 25 year olds attracting eight riders.
In group one, Ashley Hall, eight, was in good form, by winning all his four races with Charlie Willsher taking the second places and Chloe Sherwood doing well to take third place.
Charlie's splendid efforts earned her the Rider of the Day trophy.
Group two saw some close fought races with Liam Sherwood emerging a worthy winner in all of them from Abel Pearce and Liam Vant.
In an exciting group three, James Barker was overall winner from Kelvin Vant with Martin Simmons third after a storming ride to victory in his final race.
The first of the newcomers races and an early crash for Emma Watts sadly put her out while Aaron Nobles went on to the first of three wins and the Novice of the Day award.
Tom Lemasurier was second overall with Alex Pollitt third.
Seven riders fought out the second novice events with Scott Hillier riding superbly to take comfortable victories in all four races from Charlie Aldridge and Christian Hillier.
Event six welcomed National rider Craig Pettican, 14, from South Woodham Ferrers, trying out his new Odyssey sponsored bike, but he had to accept second places all afternoon from local rider Alex Humphrey with Darren Eastall in third.
The final group comprised the "oldies" and they put up a magnificent show with Kevin Sherwood taking two of the races to the overall winner, while Andy Phillenaerts won the other two, fell hard in another race, but still finished second overall with Martin Sherwood third despite an incredible tumble in the final race.
The Club now commences Wednesday evening events from 7pm but the next major event at their track is on Sunday, May 7 when they are hosts to the Region's top riders for the third round of the Summer Series.
