Kent Elms made it a hat-trick of victories in the Leigh and Westcliff LTA winter ladies' cup final.
Elms previously lifted the trophy in the 1992/93 season and again in 1997/98. This time they beat Hockley - who have never won the competition - three sets to one.
Elms pair Mandy White and Dawn Collins did not put a foot wrong against Pat Bladon and Pat Townsley.
They always looked like being on top and, despite some good rallies, defeated the Hockley duo 6-0 6-1.
But the second game could have gone either way as Hockley's Nicola Edwards and Ilean Eley led throughout the first set to win 7-5.
Long rallies were a feature of the second set, where Kent Elm's Marilyn Sharples and Brenda Lincoln eventually secured the win by taking the set 7-5 and preventing a play-off.

Association chiefs had originally planned the event to take place this Sunday. But it clashed with their winter tournament finals at Leigh Tennis Club.
