There were high fives all round again at Colchester with five-handicapper Peter Duley taking the April Medal.
A week after Nigel Hilliard triumphed off the same mark, Duley brilliantly spreadeagled the field to win by four shots.
With conditions again tough and windy - forcing up the Standard Scratch to 73 - he fired a superb gross 72 for a nett 67.
A bogey at the third was soon wiped out by birdies at the fourth and ninth for an outward nine of 35 gross.
Four dropped shots followed on the next eight holes but a fine three at 18 rounded off a great card.
Not surprisingly, he was the lowest gross.
Roger Deeble, 14, took second spot, beating off the challenge of another five-handicapper Paul Macnaught on countback.
Deeble ran up 46 shots on the opening half but dug in deep to drop just five more for a creditable 85-14=71 return.
Macnaught put together a solid performance in the trying conditions.
He had just one birdie but never scored worse than a bogey for his 76-5=71.
Two of the regulars - Bob Dale (16) and Brian Dobson (13) - were the only other players in the 86-strong field to break the par on the day.
