The woman hit by a train at Harold Wood Station last week died in spite of the efforts of emergency services to save her, coroners officers have revealed.
Margaret Trollope, 59, of Sackville Crescent, Harold Wood, was struck by the 9.40am Liverpool Street-Southend Victoria train at around 10am on April 3 as it sped through the Gubbins Lane station at 70-80 miles per hour.
Paramedics were soon at the scene and fought to keep her alive, but, according to Romford Coroners Office, she died soon after arriving at Oldchurch Hospital.
Mrs Trollope leaves behind a husband James, also of Sackville Crescent.
The inquest has been opened and adjourned.
