George Burley has set Ipswich Town a 15-point target from their remaining five matches.

The Town chief knows a 100 per cent record between now and the end of the season will be required if they are to pip Manchester City for a place in the Premiership.

They must begin that run at Edgeley Park on Saturday when they aim to complete a League double over Stockport County.

Burley said: "There are five games left to play and we want to win all five. Stockport is a game we have to get three points from and I'm sure we can go on and do it."

Andy Kilner's side have not won for 17 games and have slid down the First Division table after an impressive start to the campaign.

They were in the top six before Christmas but their 1-0 defeat at Portman Road on Boxing Day sparked their dreadful run.

Burley added: "They were doing well when they played us earlier in the season, but they have had a tough time of it recently.

"They have only been losing by the odd goal and should have beaten Manchester City when they played them a couple of weeks back."

However, Town could be six points behind rivals City by the time they kick-off. Joe Royle's side travel to Grimsby for a 1pm kick-off and a win would increase the pressure on Town to collect three points.

Barnsley are also away, but they will expect to pick up maximum points at relegation certainties Port Vale.

Defender Mark Venus (ankle) is a serious doubt but John McGreal (ankle) could make a surprise return for Town.

Keith Branagan (knee) will take a late fitness test so former Heybridge Swifts keeper James Pullen stands by for a place on the bench.
