Hospitals, care homes and police across Essex are being asked to check if the description of the body of a woman found on Foulness Sands matches anyone on the missing list.
Essex Police have already carried out a check and a spokeswoman said the woman's description did not match anyone on their records.
A post mortem examination at Southend on Monday revealed the cause of death was drowning but it is not being treated as suspicious.
She was discovered on the shoreline on Sunday.
