A refuge for abandoned dogs is desperately seeking homes for eight tiny pups.
The dogs, which are part greyhound, are just two weeks old and manager Sue Biggs hopes to have found them permanent homes by the time they are eight weeks.
She said: "The puppies are too young to leave their mother at the moment, but by the time they are eight weeks old they will be ready. We hope to have new owners for all of them by then.
"Greyhounds are lovely dogs and make great family pets. They are fine with cats as long as they are brought up with them and they are very good with children.
"They don't need much exercise and are usually quite quiet."
But she added: "We are looking for permanent homes for these dogs.
"We pick up so many animals of about 18 months old and their owners have just decided they don't want a dog or they can't look after it.
