Ballet was brought to Basildon - thanks to a troupe of pirouetting ballerinas promoting their latest production.
Shoppers had to look twice as they spotted the dancers, on points, making their way through the town's Eastgate shopping centre.
The dancers from Chelmsford Ballet Company donned their colourful costumes to promote Copellia - their latest production.
The troupe showed a video of their work in the main forum of the shopping centre before heading in to Savacentre.
Copelia is on between May 10 and 13 at the Civic Theatre, Chelmsford.
