Rainbow 2000, a Benfleet based drama group are producing their first play for three years.
Lust is a musical comedy by the Heather Brothers, writers of the modern classic A Slice of Saturday Night.
The show is based on William Wycherley's the Country Wife, a restoration romp about the life of Horner, a notorious London libertine.
Horner charms and seduces his way into the hearts and bedrooms of society ladies, while practising elaborate deceptions to win the trust of their husbands.
Horner will be played by Tim Cater, the doctor - known as Quack - by Bradley Green and the country wife by Sarah Cater.
They will be joined by other members of the 20-strong group which was formed by Jim Cater over 20 years ago.
The idea behind Rainbow 2000 is the production of quality yet inexpensive musical theatre for the community.
The group are also on the look-out for a four-poster bed to help them stage the story's raunchier moments!
Anyone who may be able to help should call Jim Cater on the box office number.
The group will produce the musical at SEEVIC Studio Theatre, Runnymede Chase, Benfleet from Wednesday, May 3 until Saturday, May 6. Tickets are available from the box office on 01268 754982.
