Chelmsford City have sold 19-year-old unsettled striker Tesfaye Bramble to Dr Martens Premier Division Cambridge City for a "small fee" but with a value added on clause should he move on to a bigger club giving City more money.

Bramble, who last season was being promoted as a potential Nationwide League player of the future and had trials with Norwich City, Cambridge United and others, has been signed to play next season at Milton Road where ex-City coach Chris Tovey is manager.

The Ipswich based youngster, who made 86 City first team appearances scoring 33 goals, promised much last season but has failed to live up to this initial potential and apart from injury problems this term has also seemed to lack any commitment or conviction for the club.

This has frustrated City's management which feels that a move would be in the best interests of both parties.

City are already planning to strengthen the side, both physically and with experience, for an outright push for promotion next season which will be the club's top priority.
