The trial of 25 men accused of conspiring to murder a Chinese chef in Colchester has finally found a home.

The two prefered locations of Chelmsford Crown Court and the Old Bailey in London have been ruled out because they are both too small.

There were even suggestions that the ballroom of the Shire Hall in Chelmsford could be converted into a courtroom.

The unwieldy trial to be heard before Judge Geoffrey Grigson is now due to take place at Kingston Crown Court.

At a hearing due to be held there on May 10 the complexities of dealing with so many people will be thrashed out.

Unemployed chef Hok Wan Leung, 34, of Watford, was found on the Middleborough roundabout in Colchester last July. He was taken to Colchester General Hospital but died two hours later.
