Police are renewing an appeal for witnesses to an accident in which a South Ockendon man was hit by a car.
George Haekins, 60, of Broxborn Drive, died in Basildon General Hospital on Friday, a month after the accident.
Mr Haekins was walking along Daiglen Drive in South Ockendon when the incident occurred at about 2.15pm on Saturday, March 25.
Witnesses are still being sought by police and anyone with any information should contact PC Russell Jardine at Laindon Road Policing Unit, on 01268 541312.
