While most four-year-olds are still singing nursery rhymes, this talented youngster has just cut his first CD.

Rising star Ben Franklin spent the day in the famous Abbey Road Studios in London recording the first-ever Toddle Song.

Ben was chosen from 100 children who entered a singing competition to represent the south east in the recording of a new song for children's charity Barnardo's.

Ben, of Greenacres, Hadleigh, is one of 11 tots from across the country who will be singing on the new CD.

His dad Paul said: "I couldn't believe it when I received the letter saying Ben had been selected. He has always been very tuneful and he was humming before he could even speak.

"It is a fantastic opportunity and Ben is already practising his vocal cords around the house!"

The Toddle Song will be played when youngsters across the country take part in the annual Big Toddle - a half mile sponsored walk - on June 21 to raise money for Barnado's.
