Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital is nearly £1,300 better off thanks to a football funday in memory of Southend lad Keith Cannon.
The 13-year-old died at the famous London hospital last November following a bicycle accident.
His family and friends decided to organise the soccer day at Southend Borough Combination's Eastwoodbury Lane HQ last month to raise funds for the hospital.
The day featured various junior matches and a celebrity team, including many Southend United players and staff, taking on Sceptre League side Seasiders.
Keith's mum Irene Cannon joined fellow event organisers Ros Lane and Irene Nolan plus Shrimpers manager Alan Little at Roots Hall on Monday to present the £1,298.39 cheque to Kate Chater from Great Ormond Street.
Mrs Cannon, of Prospect Close, Southend, thanked everyone who supported the day and organised it.
