Heybridge Swifts are staging a Charity Fun Day at their Scraley Road ground on Sunday.
The event is in aid of the Essex Air Ambulance Appeal, and will feature a football match between a Heybridge veterans side - including former West Ham defender Julian Dicks - and pop star Rod Stewart's Vagabonds team.
They will include Rod himself, entertainer Bradley Walsh and Coventry manager Gordon Strachan.
The game kicks off at 11.30am with gates opening at 10.30am, and the air ambulance itself should be landing on the main pitch before the gates open and taking off just before kick-off.
