Traders and Chelmsford Borough Council officers got together to celebrate a prestigious award for the recent major facelift of the historic Baddow Road area.
The council has been awarded Highly Commended in the Local Government News Street Design Awards 2000 for the Baddow Road Enhancement Scheme, one of 75 projects submitted by towns nationwide.
Pictured in front of the sculpture "Guardian Figures", commissioned to mark the scheme are, left to right, Paul Harris, of contractor E.G.
