Claus Jensen was today locked in talks with Ipswich Town manager George Burley to discuss a £4 million move to Portman Road.
Bolton Wanderers have accepted Town's improved offer for the Dane although Charlton Athletic have also tabled a bid for the 23-year-old midfielder.
Jensen left the Trotters' pre-season tour of his homeland a day ahead of schedule yesterday (Tuesday) to meet Burley. He also spoke to Addicks' boss Alan Curbishley.
Town are staying in London tonight before jetting off for a tour of Latvia, Finland and Estonia and Burley hopes to complete the deal in time for Jensen to join his squad.
