It's a case of the Iron taking on the Iron tomorrow night (Friday), when Braintree Town host West Ham United in a pre-season friendly at Cressing Road (kick-off 7.30pm).
Although no clue as to the likely side the Premiership club would field had been obtained earlier this week but the local grapevine intimated that several big names would be coming to take on the Iron on their home ground.
As a result there has been considerable interest generated in the town.
By the weekend over 1,000 tickets had been sold and the club were anticipating sales to build up during the week.
It will not be an all ticket game and entrance will be possible at the gate, unless the safe crowd limit had been reached through pre-match sales.
