A residential avenue is to get an environmental overhaul.
However, before work starts on Grove Avenue, Walton, residents are to be consulted over the proposals.
The proposals are due to be considered by Tendring Council's environment and housing committee in September.
A draft scheme of initial suggestions includes:
provision of security lighting for the garage area
provision of new storage sheds
relocation of the children's play area
creation of new refuse collection areas
resurfacing of and provision of security lighting for the pathways at the back of the houses.
"Although most of the proposed improvements would be of direct benefit to the residents of the flats it is hoped that these proposals will enhance the whole area," said Dennis Whitehead, head of housing services.
The council want to make sure that the works "reflect the preferences and priorities of residents".
The council also want to know whether residents will be interested in attending a meeting to discuss the proposed improvement scheme.
Residents are to be sent letters.
