Wivenhoe Town were to kick off their pre-season campaign with an attractive friendly with Nationwide League division one club Norwich City at Broad Lane last night.
A healthy crowd was expected at the Dragons' home for the clash. New signing Robbie May was expected to be in action, but fellow new boys Simon Gray (injured) and Simon Morden were out.
