The mother of a Canvey woman killed in a road crash in Scotland has told of her daughter's zest for life and devotion to her family.

Kim Guzzan, 31, of Bedford Place, had been living in Inverness and was on her way home from work in Perth when the accident happened.

The former Furtherwick Park pupil died instantly when her car collided with a coach.

Her parents, Jan and Dave, flew to Scotland with her brother Paul, 28, and sister Kellie, 24, after police broke the tragic news.

Mrs Guzzan, who moved to Bournemouth from Canvey about five months ago, said: "Her family and friends are heartbroken and will never get over their tragic loss. She had a zest for life and an infectious smile and was devoted to her family.

"Kim was an absolute bubble and an amazing person. Her love for children always shone through and her tireless work for charities involving children were boundless.

"She was always giving. She could not walk past a charity box without putting something in. It was not just pennies but pounds. She was generous to a fault."

Kim, who worked for a time on the Echo's sales team, moved to Scotland after taking a job as an account executive for Yellow Pages.

She met her partner Martin Braithwaite, 30, in February. He was devastated by the accident.

He said: "She has brought an enormous amount of joy to my life. We were extremely happy together.

"We spent as much time together as we could and were looking forward to making plans for our future."

Her funeral is taking place in Inverness tomorrow, but a memorial service is also being planned at St Nicholas Church in Long Road, Canvey.

The family is also hoping to plant a tree in her memory on the island and scatter her ashes around its base.

Mrs Guzzan added: "We are going to bring her home to Canvey.

"That is where she was born, grew up and went to school.

"She has got a very large circle of friends still there so we just feel it is right."
