Bullies beware!

A new set of Bully Busters have been appointed at St Peter's School, Coggeshall, to tackle any problems that might take place in the school day.

Current year five pupils Alex Whitelock, Luke Whealing, Jonathan Matthews, Isla Haslam, Kaleigh Miller and Jesse Khan were formally appointed to their Bully Busting posts at a special assembly held at the school.

The school's first set of Bully Busters thought up the scheme earlier this year after a seeing a play by a visiting drama group.

Year six pupils Kimberley Hammond, Katie Root, Camilla Beckett, Russell Arkinstall, William Bailey and Sarah Firth put themselves forward for the role of school counsellors so children could go to someone their own age if they had a problem.

As they are now leaving to go to secondary school at the end of term, the group decided to choose six new children to take over.

Peter Anderson, headteacher at the school, said: "I have been extremely impressed in the way they have done this."
