Customers are tucking in to fish and chips with their stamps at Mile End post office.
Owners Vinny and Sarah Ranzulla opened the fish and chip shop to boost business so they could keep the Nayland Road post office open.
Guests enjoyed champagne with their fish and chips to celebrate the opening of the restaurant and were entertained by Uncle Ted the magician.
Mr Ranzulla said: "We think we are only the first or second post office in the country to have a fish and chip shop too.
