Six women and five men have been charged with criminal damage following an incident on yesterday (Thursday) morning at Sunnymead Farm, Wivenhoe, where parts of a genetically-modified crop were flattened.
The 11 people, who are all from the Colchester area and aged between 20 and 52, were released on police bail yesterday evening and will appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
