Former British Windsurfing Champion Guy Cribb passed on tips to members of West Mersea Windsurfers and Ardleigh Watersports Centre during a visit to Essex.
Cribb runs coaching sessions across the UK and was on hand to put ten enthusiasts - ranging in age from 12-year-old Daniel Tridini to 65-year-old Ken Holland - through their paces.
The event was staged at West Mersea and co-ordinated by Stanway-based sports shop Ski Surf.
Spokesman David Peek said: "Guy's got a unique training style and everyone really seemed to learn a lot from the training session."
