Heybridge Swifts Football Club are staging a Charity Fun Day at their Scraley Road ground this Sunday (July 23), in aid of the Essex Air Ambulance Appeal.
The day will feature a football match between Heybridge Veterans (including former West Ham United defender Julian Dicks) and the Vagabonds, a side which could incluse the likes of Rod Stewart, Bradley Walsh and Gordon Strachan.
Jeremy Spake, of TV's Airport fame will also be there and there are a host of other attractions including a sponsored head shave.
The game kicks off at 11.30 am, with the gates opening at 10.30am, and the Air Ambulance should be landing on the main pitch before the gates open and taking off just before kick off.
