AN ESCAPED remand prisoner was today back behind bars after he was found by police. The 31-year-old went missing from a secure unit in Basildon Hospital at around 11.10am on Sunday. Officers searching the hospital grounds saw him at around 4.30pm and apprehended him. It is thought he was returning to the unit. The man is currently at Basildon Police Station and officers will discuss what action to take with a doctor.
