SHOCKED RSPCA officers were today appealing for witnesses after cruel thugs left a dog hanging from a tree to die. The black and tan Alsatian was discovered by a woman over the weekend. It was lying on the ground, choked to death in Brannett Wood, off Stifford Road in South Ockendon. RSPCA officers and Essex police have joined forces to find the animal's owners and discover who is responsible for killing it.
