Tomorrow (Saturday) sees a mouthwatering ice hockey match at Chelmsford's Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre and admission is free.

The culmination of London Knights' coach Chris McSorley's hockey school week at Chelmsford sees a special Pepsi Pro Challenge match, in aid of charity.

The event, which faces off at 6pm, is free to enter, but it is hoped to raise cash through donations, raffles, auctions and special events on the evening.

The match itself includes a host of Superleague players, including: Tony Hand, Rick Strachen, Ian Cooper, Steve Moria, Jason Knox, Jonathan Weaver, Merv Priest, Nick Poole, Mike Ellis, Nicky Chinn, Paul Adey, Ashley Tait, Colin Ward, Shaun Johnson, Steve Thornton, Trevor Robbins, Shannon Hope, Gary Steffan, Brian Jokat and Chris McSorley himself.

In addition Chelmsford Chieftains will be well represented on the night with, amongst others, Andy Hannah, Jake French, Billy Price and Richard Whiting icing.

There will be a host of entertainment, including a short exhibition match between periods with youngsters from the hockey school, and many fundraising events including an auction of the special jersey's signed by the players.

The whole event is sponsored by Chieftains' sponsors pepsico International and will be attended by the Mayor of Chelmsford.

It is expected that hockey buffs from all around the UK will be travelling to watch will be a special occasion in Chelmsford's ice hockey year.
