Eleven football supporters have been arrested for public order offences following clashes between Southend and Brighton fans.
One Brighton man was detained by police officers after allegedly running onto the pitch at Roots Hall during the game between Southend United and Brighton and Hove Albion.
The other ten, a mixture of Southend and Brighton followers, were picked up after the match following incidents on a grass verge in Victoria Avenue and along Southend seafront.
Around 100 police officers were on duty as a small number of hooligans from both sides have been involved in violence when the teams have met in recent years.
