Matt Holland is set to return from injury to play in Town's glamorous pre-season friendly against Fiorentina tomorrow (Saturday).
Injury-plagued defender Mark Venus has also been named in an 18-man squad.
Holland strained his calf in the pre-season friendly at Colchester United and missed matches against Leyton Orient and AZ Alkmaar.
But the midfield dynamo returned to training this week and said: "I've been working hard in the last couple of days and, assuming there's no reaction, I should be fit to be involved.
"The match gives us an opportunity to test ourselves against some of the best players in the world.
"We haven't really been tested yet this summer. None of the sides we've played have provided much of a challenge."
Fiorentina bring an all-star team to Portman Road, including six who played in Euro 2000.
Francesco Toldo played in goal for Italy while compatriots Angelo De Livio and Daniele Adani also played in Holland and Belgium.
Nuno Gomes and Manuel Rui Costa have been named in the 20-man squad after starring for Portugal this summer.
