It's make your mind up time for Billericay Town boss Gary Calder after his team completed their pre-season programme.

Calder has to finalise his squad for Saturday's Ryman Premier kick-off and will finish running the rule over a quartet of trialists at training tomorrow night (Tuesday).

Among them are Richard Dunwell and Glen Southgate, who scored the winner in Saturday's match with Southern Premier side Crawley Town.

It was the visitors who opened their account first at New Lodge, courtesy of John Ugbah's 12th minute, 35-yard effort from the right which went in at the far post.

Gary Henty put the hosts back on terms six minutes later. He picked up a through ball from Joe Baker and shot low to equalise.

Crawley took the lead on 26 minutes when Dave Powell scored from a Dean Wadsworth pass.

Dean Parratt came close to levelling for Town on 31 minutes, but his 35-yard effort was saved at the second attempt.

Baker brought the hosts level three minutes into the second half when Town capitalised on a mis-kick from Crawley keeper Andy Little.

The ball was picked up on the right and the long through ball found Baker, who slid the ball past Little.

Trialist striker Richard Dunwell's 60th minute effort nearly gave Town the lead, but he fired wide.

It was Southgate, who was with Calder at Enfield, who wrapped things up in the 80th minute.

Little kicked the ball out to the left, but it was put back into the visitor's box and Southgate gleefully knocked it home from 12 yards.

Henty saved Billericay's bacon two minutes later when he cleared a shot off the line.

But the match ended on a sour note when Crawley's Danny Carroll was sent off for a body check on Paul Linger.
