Bride and groom Catherine Wayland and Martin Larkin are stepping back in time for their forthcoming wedding.
They will be putting on costumes from the mid-18th century for their wedding at the Moot Hall in Colchester on Saturday.
Catherine, 30, said she met her husband-to-be Martin, 40, through re-enactment societies they belonged to and has always had an interest in different periods in history.
"I actually make period costumes so I thought it appropriate to dress up like someone would have in those times," she said.
The couple, of Valley Road in Great Clacton, will be joined by guests wearing outfits dating back to the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
