A Chelmsford woman will want to get her feet firmly back on the ground, when she takes part in a charity abseil.
Claire Ruse, 28, from Springfield, will be abseiling 120ft down Sainsbury's head office in Blackfriars, London, next Sunday, (October 22), in aid of the Cancer Research Campaign.
She said: "I wanted to do something memorable to mark my 29th birthday -- the last one before I hit 30. I can not think of any charity more worthwhile than Cancer Research that the sponsor money should go to, as cancer is something that affects us all in some way in our lives."
Last year the event raised more than £34,000 and this year they hope to raise at least £40,000, which is needed to fund vital research.
