A former games arcade in the centre of Colchester could be transformed into a bar or restaurant.
The 1,000 sq ft site in Head Street has already aroused a lot of interest from people wanting to set up a bar or restaurant in the town.
Surveyors Whybrow Riches and Dodds claim the building, formerly occupied by Charm Leisure, will be a prime location when the neighbouring former post office building is turned into an eight-screen cinema.
David Cobb, a surveyor at the firm, said: "It has just come back on the market after someone interested in the lease pulled out because of the loading facilities there.
"We have remarketed it because of the multiplex cinema, which means it is a prime site. The only problem is there's a lot of people who still don't know the cinema is being built nearby."
The lease for the site is £18,000 a year and more than £6,000 in rates.
