Concord Rangers saw their bid for success in the FA Sunday Cup come to a swift end yesterday when they lost 1-0 at home to Ouzavich, who have an outstanding pedigree in the competition, in the second round. The Canvey based side had a round one bye.

In the Essex Sunday Junior Cup second round match, two goals from Hampshire helped Old Southendian to a 3-1 success over fellow Southend Sunday League side Thorpe Athletic.

In an all Southend Essex Junior Trophy round two affair Rayleigh Town 2ns saw off Fram 2-1.

The second round of the Section A Charity Cup threw up a real thriller which ended 5-5 after extra-time - Grid Athletic beating Eastwood Falcons on penalties.

Another match to go to spot-kicks saw Stambridge United beating Maplin United after the score stood at 4-4 after the extra period.

Enfield's four goals took Kingston Athletic to a 4-2 win at Wheatleys, while Smith's crisp hat-trick helped Lodge Athletic triumph 5-2 at Spartek.

Southend United Supporters, taking a leaf out of the book of the team they support, won 5-2 in the only Premier Division match played. Wilkins scored two.

Best Division Four win of the day was by Bell Sports, who rung up a 4-2 home success over Leigh Ramblers with P Benson serving up a hat-trick.

In Division Five, Collier's brace helped Sorrento Sports come back with the points from a trip to Ralee 2nd.

Ness Rangers enjoyed a monster success in Division Six when they saw off Westcliff Wanderers 8-1. Anchor Athletic were not far behind when weighing down hosts Suttron Sports 2nd 7-0.

T Hines got three in Division Seven as Prittlewell triumphed 6-0 in grounding Kursaal Flyers. McKenna's twin strike helped Ross Sports win 3-1 at Rochford Sports and Social 3rd.
