Olympic champion Jonathan Edwards was one of a group of track and field stars who shared their experience and training techniques with south Essex athletics coaches.
They were attending a seminar at Palmer's College in Chadwell Road, Grays, on Thursday hosted by former javelin champion and Thurrock girl Fatima Whitbread.
The triple-jumper who won gold in Sydney was joined by Olympic sprinter Dwaine Chambers who just missed out on a medal and the European champion at 400 metres, Ewan Thomas.
All three of them took their own coaches along to address the seminar and pass on advice which will benefit athletics hopefuls throughout the Basildon and Thurrock area.
